EPS2.0 Whole School Evaluation
EPS2.0 stands for the Educational Positioning System - Version 2. It has been developed by Dr. Julia Atkin and our sister organisation, Core Education - New Zealand for use in self review for whole school visioning. It is currently being piloted by Core Education in the UK context.

Richard Millwood is an Advisory Member to this association which aims to connect to, consolidate, and disseminate knowledge about ICT-related transformations in European school education. The experts' network analyses and reflects upon the processes linked to the transition towards the knowledge society. It intends to link theoretical insights and research experiences with policy aims and their implementation in order to contribute to the quality of European school education.

The IDeA have commissioned Core Education to develop their capacity to offer an online community of practice service for local authority improvement.
BECTA - ‘Innovative approaches’ Content Quality Principle
Becta invited Core Education to review this principle and produce advice for practitioners and developers. The original quality principles for digital learning resources were published in April 2006 and relate to the design and use of digital learning resources to support effective learning and teaching. They are applicable to a range of ages and contexts, including the schools and post-16 sectors.

UNESCO - The Future of Knowledge Acquisition and Sharing
UNESCO - The Future of Knowledge Acquisition and Sharing. Core Education supported the meeting of a UNESCO High Level Group of Visionaries in Kronberg, Germany, June 2007, sponsored by the German Commission to UNESCO and BASF. In partnership with UNESCO we created the structure of the meeting and facilitated dialogue around the long-term future of knowledge. Core Education collected video statements from young people around Europe and soon to include more from New Zealand, and these together with responses from the Kronberg delegates can be viewed at: www.futureknowledge.org

TDA SEN Portal
Brunel University, under the leadership of Prof Marilyn Leask, won a Teacher Development Agency (TDA) bid to breath new life into the TDA Special Educational Needs (SEN) Portal. As part of that work, Core Education were asked to take responsibility for the Innovation Strand of work.
Digital Literacy and Creativity
Digital technologies provide a wide range of tools which research shows can enhance and support teaching and learning. However, this knowledge is not uniformly available across disciplines. This project aims to provide materials which are cross-disciplinary in application and which, through collaborative pedagogy and innovative assessment processes, supported by Web 2.0 online community working, induct staff into the power of collaboration and the re-purposing of OERs.
