KNOW-HOW
CORE Education UK has developed a series of learning activities known as 'KNOW-HOW'.
Learning Activities:
- are aimed at teachers, mentors, facilitators, tutors, coaches or anyone else who enables others to learn.
- can be accessed either online, face to face or through a blended approach and are designed to support and develop your practice and knowledge.
- are flexible, collaborative and contextual. We provide the framework, with the needs of the participants shaping the nature of the discussions based on your individual learning needs.
- range from a half a day workshop to a 7 week online course and include a wide variety of topics from ‘Wikis for Teaching and Learning’ to ‘Education Futures’ to ‘Patchwork Assessment’.
Collaboration
Collaboration is a key element of the learning activities and whether online or face to face, a variety of appropriate tools and processes are used in combination to provide a rich working and learning environment. You will be encouraged to creatively explore new ideas and concepts with us and other participants, drawing on others experiences and new concepts to empower you and your organisation.
Bespoke Courses
We will also work in partnership with you to create bespoke courses for your organization. If you have particular needs for your specific workplace context then our experienced staff, can help you to develop your own in house learning activities. Perhaps you are looking to develop a culture of lifelong learning in your firm of solicitors, a team of mentors in your industry or online facilitators in your university? Whatever your need, we can advise and co-create bespoke learning activities for you to deliver in your learning context.
Our Staff
Our learning facilitators model good practice for you based on their experiences as both educationalists and in creating and supporting some of the biggest and most successful online and blended environments, (e.g. Talking Heads, Virtual Heads & IDeA communities). Our staff are ex school teachers and have also worked or continue to work part time at universities across the country, having experience at creating and teaching on both undergraduate and post graduate programmes of study.
